The Best bars in Rome’s Ponte Milvio Neighbourhood
Nightlife in Rome is definitely not lacking. You’ve probably heard about Campo dei Fiori, Trastevere and Piazza Navona already. But what about Northern Rome’s Ponte Milvio area, did you know about that one?
Chances are – if you’re not a Roman – you haven’t.
Unlike Rome’s historic center, Ponte Milvio is only frequented by locals, and it’s a major nightlife area in Rome.
It’s full of restaurants and bars, and it’s great for happy hour! Definitely don’t miss out on the lovely walks on the centuries-old bridge known for its famous locks! Plus, the beautiful Chiesa della Gran Madre di Dio was just renovated.

Panificio Nazzareno

If you’re a pizza and cold-cuts lover, Panificio Nazzareno will be love at first sight. Sitting right on Piazzale di Ponte Milvio, this bar is the go-to place for aperitivo. Delicious cured meats, cheeses, pizzas and more await you. They also have a good wine selection, by the glass and by the bottle, as well as beers and cocktails. Even if you can’t find space immediately for happy hour, give them your name and wait for your turn, it’s definitely worth the wait!

Int. 2 or Interno 2 is one of the coolest bars in Ponte Milvio. Unlike most of the bars in this area, Int. 2 is located on the first floor of an apartment overlooking the piazza. The whole place is kept secret and the only way you’ll notice it is if you check out the intercom and read “Int.2” written on it. Go inside the building and head to the first floor where you’ll be immersed in a completely renovated apartment with dimmed lights and elegant areas to sip cocktails and wine till late. Background music, mixology cocktails, great service, a beautiful bar counter and a trendy vibe, this is Interno 2. There is also a smoking section. Just know that as most speakeasies, Int.2 is an association so you must pay for a yearly ARCI membership card which will cost you €10 and is inclusive of a cocktail/wine (it’s the same one for most speakeasies so you pay just once)!
Jarro

Jarro is one of those Ponte Milvio classics. Situated right on the piazza, it’s the perfect place to go to catch up with your friends. Wine, cocktails, beers, they have it all. My favorite thing here are the wines, the Arneis is really good! The atmosphere is laid back and music plays in the background. The service is fast and friendly.

If you want to immerse yourself in one of the trendiest places in Ponte Milvio, head to Nojo, the hotspot in town for Japanese fusion! Apart from the amazing food concept, Nojo serves great cocktails and wine in its lovely outdoor garden on Fridays and Saturdays! Definitely don’t miss out on the mixology cocktails.

Finding a free table in Ponte Milvio after 12am on a Friday night is a miracle. And if you’re able to find one in Dulcamara it’s even more of a miracle! Right after the famous MET restaurant you’ll find this trendy bar. A vast wine selection awaits you, along with a friendly service!

If you’re on the hunt for an Instagrammable bar, LOVE Bar is it! The setting and design of this bar makes it one of my favorite in Rome. So cozy, bright and fun. Come by for after dinner drinks in a hip setting or better yet, stop by for breakfast lunch or snacks with yummy natural food. From vegan croissants to homemade pancakes with syrup and fresh smoothies, LOVE Bar is filled with delicious treats to fulfil all types of cravings!

Not exactly in Ponte Milvio but just a 5-minute drive away, you’ll find Profumo Spazio Sensoriale with its beautiful gardens. Known for its trendy setting and lushes gardens, Profumo is the perfect place to go for a chic night out with your friends. Sit down in one of the candlelit outdoor tables, sip a cocktail and enjoy the magical atmosphere. During summer, enjoy their wonderful outdoor parties called “I Giardini d’Estate”, where you can drink and dance. But Profumo Spazio Sensoriale is also known for its lovely aperitivos, picnic style! But even in fall and winter this restaurant and bar is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing night with your friends sipping red wine.
P.S. If you’re planning to come to Ponte Milvio on the weekend, make sure you don’t get there after 11.30pm, it’ll be hard to find a place (not to mention a parking spot)!
