Where to eat in Rome’s Ponte Milvio neighbourhood
Take a trip to the famous Roma Nord to find restaurants and bars only the locals know of. And while you’re in Northern Rome, don’t miss out on Ponte Milvio–one of the area’s coolest restaurant and nightlife spots. In between the famous Milvio Bridge (yes, where Constantine the Great converted to Christianity) and the beautiful Chiesa della Gran Madre di Dio, you’ll find a myriad of restaurants and bars circling the piazza. If it’s a restaurant immersed in a Roman atmosphere you’re searching for, here’s the guide to my favorite Ponte Milvio restaurants!
Panificio Nazzareno / Charlie Vini & Cucina
Piazzale di Ponte Milvio, 35

PanificioNazzareno
Sitting right on Piazzale di Ponte Milvio, Panificio Nazzareno and Charlie Vini & Cucina are two restaurants that have merged. They’re the perfect spot to go by for aperitivo in Ponte Milvio, with their yummy cured meats and cheese boards. But they’re also a great spot for lunch or dinner. They serve Italian cuisine with a mix of dishes from different regions. As of right now they’re focusing on Roman dishes, but you can also find other dishes like their famous salmon tartare. It’s a casual place with good food and wine! And in the summertime, their garden with string lights is super cute!
Nojo
Viale di Tor di Quinto, 35/c

nojopontemilvio
Nojo is a contemporary, stylish and trendy restaurant in the Ponte Milvio area. It’s a melting pot of locals and internationals that love Japanese fusion cuisine. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Rome. The setting alone is already a reason you should go. If not for dinner at least for cocktails. But now that I’ve got you all fired up about the setting, let me get to the food. The food is delicious, super fresh, innovative and just perfect. Definitely start out with the cod wonton dumplings – I could eat 20 plates of these. Then go for the sushi rolls. My favorites are the Nojo roll, the Truffle tuna and the Hamachi roll. Cocktails are good but they also have a nice wine selection! Service is excellent.
Macello
Via Flaminia, 451

If it’s a good steak out you’re after, Macello is the place to go. Serving a wide variety of quality meat cuts that range from beef to chicken and pork, it’s truly a great find for us carnivores. But what they’re most popular for is their rotating skewer system! Macello serves 14 different types of meats right on your table on skewers! You can choose from skewers with filet, steak, chicken, salsiccia and many others, each accompanied by a sauce. There’s also wine or beer recommended for each one! Reservations are essential.
Meaters
Via Riano, 2

meatersbracebar
Formerly known as Voy, Meaters is the new meat lovers’ paradise in Ponte Milvio with a chic minimal design. A warm and cozy ambiance with wood accents and bamboo awaits you paired with a friendly service. The menu? A mix of international food with meat under the spotlight. You can find different meat cuts from around the world following a wide variety of gastronomic cultures. Must-orders are the tartare l’italiana, the Catalana (seared beef served cold) and the juicy tagliata di manzo with roasted potatoes. But there are many dishes I still have to try. The drink selection is great as is the wine list.
Roma Beer Company
Piazzale Ponte Milvio, 40/42
+39 06 333 7048
RomaBeerCompany
Whenever I get a burger craving, I go to Ponte Milvio’s Roma Beer Company restaurant. It’s my go-to. Juicy burgers with cheddar cheese, tomatoes and lettuce served on a yummy bread and paired with my all-time favorite cacio e pepe fries. Not into burgers? They’re menu is quite extensive, and you can find different meat cuts, too. And to pair with your meal, a cold craft beer from their super vast selection. Not a clue which beer to order? Ask for advice!
Le Fish
Via Della Farnesina 41/B

lefishroma
Craving some good seafood in a trendy locale? Le Fish is the restaurant for you. Footsteps from piazzale di Ponte Milvio you’ll stumble upon this New York style bistrot that serves up a good selection of seafood. Read the menu to find fresh fish ranging from amberjack and sea bream to tuna, salmon and lobster. Choose the type of fish you’d like to eat and decide how you’d like them to cook it: marinated, al salmoriglio, in guazzetto or all’acqua pazza. They also have a great wine selection to choose from!
TreeToo
Via Prati della Farnesina, 76 (Ponte Milvio)
+39 06 5272 3038
TreeTooRoma
TreeToo is the brainchild of the ultra-famous Tree Bar owners, and you can tell. The setting is warm and trendy, with a contemporary Scandinavian style and an outdoor area. Come here to taste 15 types of delicious pizzas made with 3 types of organic doughs. The toppings range from classics like the margherita, all the way to my favorite amatriciana pizza – crispy guanciale, yummy tomato sauce, and pecorino cheese shavings on top. It doesn’t get any better than this. The fried antipasti are also yummy! And to pair your food, a small wine and beer selection, or some great cocktails await you!

For a crowd with mixed tastes, Da Brando is surely the place to go. Serving up everything from fried antipasti to classic Roman primi and seafood and meat dishes, this restaurant in Ponte Milvio is one to put on your list. Plus, if the varied menu isn’t enough of a reason to go, the restaurant’s beautiful shabby-chic decor will definitely win you over.
