Romantic dinner restaurants in Ponza
If there’s one hotel that knows what its doing, it’s Ponza’s Hotel Chiaia di Luna.
With their beautiful hotel rooms and trendy Le Terrazze bar, you wouldn’t expect anything less from its restaurant. And you shouldn’t.
My parents were staying at this hotel during my father’s birthday, and they invited my sister and I along with our boyfriends for a dinner celebration.
I was really excited as I had never tried the restaurant before, and everyone knows how excited I get about food!
The restaurant’s location is beautiful, outdoor by the hotel’s pool with a wonderful view. On one side you overlook Chiaia di Luna bay and the sunset, while on the other the port of Ponza.
The setting is enchanting, with light tones and warm candles that set the tone. If it’s a romantic dinner you’re searching for, Chiaia di Luna’s restaurant is perfect! Just make sure to ask for a table with a view!
But lets get to the food. The menu is delightful, you’ll definitely have trouble picking.
I went for the seared albacore Tuna with soy on cream potatoes and caramelized onion as a starter and it was phenomenal. I definitely urge you to order this! Another great starter was my mom’s red prown carpaccio with citrus sauce and Mediterranean flavors. Momma knows how to pick! YUMMY!
As a main course, I had the homemade ravioli of albacore Tuna on pumpkin flowers and frisella sause. This was another spectacular dish, extremely delicate. And the seared amberjack on steamed carrots and zucchini with chopped pistachios was another outstanding choice.
I have to say, Chiaia di Luna’s chef really knows what embarking on a culinary journey means. Everything was truly delightful. And the wine selection is no less.
If you plan on coming to Chia di Luna’s restaurant, don’t forget to make a reservation and be sure to go to Le Terrazze for a drink afterwards!
